Volunteer opportunities

NEW Family Support Group: Shifting with the greater need, we expanded our mission to include a greater community. Some of our boys have invited their single moms to be part of a community family group. Creating space where families get support and peer connection as we share real truth with each other. Community coming together in Community.

Men & Women are NEEDED!

Want to make an impact that can last generations? There is a role for you!

Giving back to support our next generation is challenging and rewarding. You will see hearts and smiles blossom, as you become a part of a trusted community.  To ensure the safety of both boys and men, we do a thorough interview process and background clearance for all volunteers.

Mentors receive:

  • a one-day training

  • ongoing, regular support

  • a valued team environment that emphasizes your strengths

What do Mentors do?

School-based Mentors commit to 4 to 8 hours monthly

Each week, 3-4 men team up to listen and guide boys during a 1 to 2 hour class period. We mostly ask questions.

Adventure Group Mentors commit to 2 to 4 hours monthly

Boys and men gather on Saturday or Sunday once a month to hike, play, and just have fun.

Mountain Adventure “Rite of Passage Adventure Weekend”

Boys participate with Mentors in a transformative, weekend-long experience, 3 times per year.

What other ways can I volunteer?

Women and Men are needed to support and to help grow our success!

Help Spread the word about Boys to Men, and help us replicate the positive outcomes we’ve already seen:

Join the Outreach Committee:

  • Promote our story on Social Media

  • Help with newsletters, web site development, fundraising or events

  • Help make connections to groups you know will want to know more

Join the Advisory Board, or possibly the Governing Board:

  • Help us make connections in the wider community

  • Support the volunteers showing up for boys

  • Help promote the program to funders and people you know will want to help

Thank you for helping future generations be the best they can be!
